Spring Trends For 2018

The sunshine has certainly been teasing us for the last few weeks, so now is the perfect time to start thinking about your outfits for spring and looking at those spring trends. From pastels to paintbox brights, here are some of the key trends for spring/summer 2018.

Ice Cream Shades

We are all about the gelato shades for spring/summer. This time of year is always an excuse to break out the pale tones, but give it an on-trend twist and channel the look from head to toe. Whether it's lemon layers, parma violet tiers or a wash of blush pink, make like a scoop of your favourite this season.

The trench coat is a springtime classic, but this season it gets an overload of opulence with some upgraded design details. Look to elevated interpretations, whether it's a classic coat covered in embroidery, a metallic-threaded tailored piece or a deconstructed minimal version.

Confident style is still in season for spring/summer '18, and what better way to demonstrate than with a palette of the brightest shades? Again this look is all about head to toe statements, so mix all your brightest hues and don't think twice about clashing.

The Plastics

Plastic gets a reinvention this season with a brigade of wipeclean style essentials all vying for a place in your spring/summer wardrobe. From trench coats and trousers to thigh high boots and skirts, vinyl is bringing a futuristic feel to your daywear.

Graduating from the ruffles of last spring, we are now treated to a texture overload of fringing, feathers and all things 3D. Take some 1920s inspiration with flapper style fringe details on skirts and dresses or look to regal feather jackets for some springtime glamour.

The festive favourite is reinvented for spring/summer with sequins finally seeing their moment in the sunshine. Everything from subtle sequin sleeves on sweatshirts to full-on sequin suits have been seen on the catwalk, so watch this space for an overload of summer sparkle.

Maximalist Jewellery

Although minimal jewellery still stays strong for summer, there is space for some statement pieces to finish off your look in style. Oversized earrings continue to make their mark, while chunky charm bracelets and ornate necklaces were also seen on the high fashion runways. Build the look by focusing on one area and layering a few pieces - start with our gold Belgravia watch and add in a statement bracelet to make it your own.
