This Seasons Most Exciting Knitwear Trends
November 11, 2019

There’s no better way to stylishly stave off the winter than with a great piece of knitwear. This season is about much more than basic cosy jumpers, with a stack of new and exciting trends dominating everywhere from the catwalk to your Instagram feed. Read on for our round-up.
1) Cardigans
Katie Holmes propelled the humble cardie into the spotlight with her Khaite knitted cardigan and bra - even Zara has recreated the look with their own matching set. Cardigans are perfect for lazy weekends at home, but work yours into your everyday wear by tucking it into jeans; think of it as a winter version of a classic shirt. You could even take one on a night out by layering it with a silk bias cut skirt and boots.
2) Sweaterdress
The sweater dress has been seen all over social media and every magazine page in town. Go stylishly oversized or cinch yours in with a belt, finish with knee-high boots for a bit of cold weather luxury. This is an effortless staple that will take you from the boardroom to the bar with a simple change in accessories.
3) Co-ords
The summer co-ord has been given a winter makeover, now it’s all about knitted separates that you can mix and match. Whether it’s a matching knitted skirt and jumper, or a top with a pair of knitted trousers, they go with everything from ankle boots to knee-high boots to trainers. Make your outfit pop with a contrasting handbag.
4) Sleeveless
Ideal for warmer days, the office or even some layering, the knitted vest is definitely having a moment this autumn/winter. You’ll find everything from vintage styles with patterns to minimalist incarnations with simple lines and baggy fits. Tuck yours into denim for a casual feel, or wear it with your tailoring for an elevated look. Don’t forget to accessorise with something statement, one of our Petite range will do the trick.
5) Brights
Now is definitely the time for neon, and there’s nothing like a bright and cosy chunky knit to make a statement for winter. Keep it chic by styling it with neutrals, or if you’re feeling brave, bring a little sunshine to your day with a head to toe tonal look.
