Boots To Lust After All Autumn
September 16, 2019
It does feel like only a moment ago we were obsessing over strappy sandals, but alas, it has started to get too chilly for open toes. Luckily for us, there are plenty of A/W boots already on offer to get excited about. Here are five of our favourite styles for this season.
1) Lace Ups
Lace-up boots are going to be the staple shoe of the season. Get them with a mid-block heel for a retro feel and pick a neutral tone such as black, camel or cream so they'll work extra hard in your wardrobe. You can style these winter favourites with everything from midi skirts and dresses to denim and cords.
2) Cowboy Boots
Better start channelling those Wild West vibes, the cowboys are coming to town. This trend has extended to everything from fringed jackets and dresses to saddlebags and western shirts, but a pair of cowboy boots is the most versatile way of working the look into your style. Pick a patent mock croc pair to keep things sleek, wear them with a billowing maxi dress to channel some Scandi style vibes.
3) Hiking Boots
It was a big trend last year and now we're looking for lasting style over fast fashion, there is no better time to invest in a pair of hiking boots. It's also the comfiest shoe trend you'll find aside from trainers, and they look great whether styled with printed dresses or kick-flare jeans. Extra points if you get them with some shearling or fur details.
4) Knee Highs
The perfect accessory to keep your summer dresses going for longer, knee-high boots are everywhere from the high street to high end. Choose a classic plain black pull-on pair or go for something more statement like a cowboy-style or printed design. White knee-highs are also a great way to keep some lighter vibes in your winter wardrobe.
5) Animal Print
Yes, I know we're always championing animal print, but it really is here to stay, and what better way to work it into your outfit than with a pair of animal-inspired boots? Leopard print is a classic, but look for snakeskin and croc skin boots if you want to update your style.
