The Biggest Beachwear Trends For Summer

With rumours of a heatwave on the way, it's time to start thinking about beachwear. Whether you're enjoying a vacay or a staycay, you can indulge in these summer trends wherever you find some sunshine.

1) Crinkle Swimsuits

Ever since Hunza G got us excited for crinkle stretch swimsuits, the fabric has been creeping into every swimwear collection from the high street to high end. You can wear yours for poolside lounging and dips in the water, but they also make great bodysuits and tops to pair with separates for sightseeing and socialising.

2) Grandad Sandals

Once reserved for brisk hikes in the sunshine, chunky Teva style sandals are now having a fashion moment. A favourite amongst bloggers, these sporty sandals are probably the most comfortable trend you'll wear all summer. They're ideal for padding along the beach and Prada has even designed their own pair if you want an elevated version.

3) Boho Blouses

Embrace your inner French girl with a cropped white blouse. You can sling it on over your swimsuit if you're enjoying a cocktail beside the pool, or you can pair it with cut off shorts and strappy sandals when you're heading from the beach to the boardwalk.

4) Shells

There is no getting away from the shell trend this season, they can be seen adorning everything from beach bags and sandals to necklaces and bracelets. Stay on trend and wear your shells in hair sliders or anklets, they will give you tons of surfer girl, beach chic points on the sands.

5) Retro Silhouettes

Take some vintage vibes to the beach this summer, whether it's with a belted swimsuit, a high legged bikini or a retro floral print. High waisted bikinis are always a good idea, pair yours with some heels and make your way to the beach, it's a look that is guaranteed to elongate your pins for days.
